School Clubs
The school has a strong tradition of extra-curricular activities. We are very fortunate to have staff who are prepared to give of their own time to enrich the experiences of our pupils. Activities are run before school, at lunch-time and after school.
We also seek to expand provision by offering paid for private lessons using independent teachers or coaches. In recent years, we have been able to offer clubs for rounders, cricket, football, netball, multi-sports, cheerleading, badminton and yoga. There are more opportunities to join in with club activities as pupils progress through the school - as we also take part in competitive sporting fixtures against other schools. Clubs do not tend to operate in the first and last weeks of term. Details of times and meeting places are announced in assembly during the first week of term, in newsletters to parents and via the school website.
When a club has to be cancelled because a member of staff is unavailable, this is also announced in assembly and a letter or email / text message is sent to inform parents.
The school has been awarded Active Mark status in recognition of its sporting provision.
