Curriculum & Assessment Meeting
The National Curriculum and associated Assessment at KS2 (Junior School) is changing!
In 2013 the government announced that the levels used by all schools were to be "Removed and not replaced."
While this gives schools the chance to take a more individual approach to assessing its pupils, it causes potential confusion for children and families - as well as school staff. We currently use an assessment system in which children progress from a Level 1 to a Level 6, with the national expectation that children should be achieving at least 2 levels' progress from the end of KS1 (when they leave Year 2) to the end of KS2 (when they leave Year 6). Some children may not make as much progress, whereas others will make more than this.
The documents below were presented to parents on Thursday 12th March 2015. Please contact the school if you wish to find out any further information and we will be happy to help.
