What is mental health?
Mental health includes our emotional, psychological and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence and through adulthood. (Definition from www.mentalhealth.gov)
Children's mental health week
Many of the staff at CVJS have undertaken training with a charity called Place2Be. They are a fabulous charity who provide training, resources and support to children, young people and adults. Place2Be provide a range of online resources to let everyone know about what they do and also what people can do to look after themselves. As we move through these busy times, it is vital that we all take time to look after ourselves and each other.
Have a look at the resources below. These will give you an overview of the importance of looking after and supporting our mental health.
